Obituary for Ellen Marie Bailey
Ellen Marie (Murphy) Bailey, 86, of Mystic, passed away at Mariner Health Care in Mystic on Saturday, May 13, 2017.
Born in Westerly, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Evelyn Murphy.
Ellen worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Westerly Nursing Home for many years. She was also a communicant of St. Michael Church where she was heavily involved in many activities.
She leaves a son Nelson P. Bailey of Waterbury, CT; two daughters, Ramona Bailey of N. Franklin, CT and Linda M. Bailey of Westerly; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Ellen was predeceased by her son Alfred J. Bailey on Dec. 29, 2016.
Visiting hours are omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy for Ellen and her son Alfred on Tuesday at 11am at St. Mary’s Church, 95 Main St., Stonington. Burial is private. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in charge of the arrangements. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com
