Rose (DeCaro) Falcone, 87, of Westerly, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Sunday, March 26, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, the late Salvatore “Sam” Falcone.

Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Fortuna DeCaro. Rose was a devoted parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church and a member of their Senior Group.

Rose’s life was dedicated to providing and caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining and loved having family and friends around the table. Along with her family she will be missed by her group of church and then coffee friends, her new friends and caregivers met during her recent stay at The Royal Nursing home.

She leaves three children, Charles Falcone and wife Rose of Westerly, Laura Parzych of Westerly, and John Falcone and wife Joy of Tampa, FL; eight grandchildren, Kris Falcone and wife Kristal, Tara Holland and husband Cayne, Matt Falcone, Hillary and Michael Parzych, Samantha, Gabriella and John Falcone, Jr.; six great-grandchildren, Dylan, Gianna and Isabelle Falcone and Emmett, Kennedy and Russell Holland and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Falcone; three brothers, Vincent, Joseph and John DeCaro and four sisters, Mary Zancan, Carmella Bellotti, Celia Avonti, and Ann Markowski.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Relatives and friends are also invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly on Thursday at 10 am. There is no procession from the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly.
