Obituary for Valerie J. Moore
Valerie J. (Miner) Moore, beloved wife for 29 years of Robert L. Moore, of Circle Dr., Stonington, passed away at L&M Hospital in New London on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the age of 59.
Born in Westerly, she was a daughter of the late Franklin J. and Barbara Miner.
Valerie will be remembered for how she loved spending time with her family, and especially crafting with her cherished grandchildren. In her spare time, she could always be found outside, enjoying her passion for gardening.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Kerry Pettegrow and Krystal Pettegrow, both of Stonington; stepson Daniel Moore of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three brothers, Wayne Roderick of Bozrah, CT, Bruce Miner of Westerly and Paul Miner of Mystic; two sisters, Cheryl King and Wendy Barker both of Pawcatuck as well as three grandchildren, Zachary White, McKenzie Pettegrow and Cormick Pettegrow; and many nieces and nephews. Valerie was predeceased by a brother Earl Roderick.
Visiting hours are omitted. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11am at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Ashaway. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com
