Obituary for Matthew J. Wnuk

Matthew J.  Wnuk
Matthew J. Wnuk, beloved son of Joseph A. and Susan M. Wnuk, of Wicklow Road, Westerly, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Tuesday, August 16, 2016.

Born in Westerly he was a graduate of Westerly High School and a student at URI, pursuing his 2nd degree in Biomedical Engineering. Matthew was an avid fisherman, golfer and boater. He collected tropical fish and enjoyed working on his Audi A4. A sports enthusiast, he was a big Patriots, Celtics and Red Sox fan. Most important to him was spending time with his immediate and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Matthew will be dearly missed by his sister Ashley M. Wnuk of Bronx, NY; paternal grandmother Louise V. Wnuk and maternal grandmother Sharon Oliveira, both of W. Warwick; and aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as his girlfriend Mariah Cahoon and her two daughters, Makenna and Madison.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-7 at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 7 Church St., Bradford on Tuesday at 10am. There is no procession from the funeral home to church.
